The Green Cart
The City of Clovis green (organics) cart takes garden and tree trimmings, grass and landscape vegetation, leaves, untreated wood, flowers, and food scraps. Put carts out by 6 AM on your collection day. Don't bag yard waste in plastic, and don't overfill the cart.
The city lists these as not allowed in any cart: dirt, sod, rocks, concrete, asphalt, construction debris, roofing, garden sprays, and toxic chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, and pool chemicals.
Community Clean-Up (Twice a Year)
Single-family homes with City of Clovis trash service get a free bulk curbside pickup in each Spring cycle (January to June) and Fall cycle (July to December). Your date is on a flier mailed at the start of the cycle and on the city's online Community Clean-Up map. Debris can go out no more than two weeks early and must be at the curb by 6 AM. Check the flier for accepted and prohibited items and size limits on branches before you build a pile, and keep piles at least 6 feet from parked cars.

When It Makes Sense to Hire a Hauler

- A big pile after tree trimming or a backyard redo that won't fit in the cart for weeks
- Your Community Clean-Up date is months away

JunkCo prices yard waste by how much truck space it takes: a small pile of branches or a few bags starts around $125, and larger loads usually run $175 to $450. Heavy material like dirt and rock is quoted on-site.
